South Carlsbad Beach, CA

 For Fall Break, we went with a bunch of friends in the ward over to Carlsbad State Beach in California.  We all camped right on the bluff which was so great to be able to be right on the beach like that.  We came about 2 days after everyone else, and apparently they had great weather.........we brought the cold......

The next morning we went down to walk on the beach because it was supposed to rain and be cold .

But, they still got in!  Now, California water is always cold, but it was warmer than the air - something's wrong with that!

Since it was supposed to rain, we headed down to San Diego.  We love this Temple, it's so beautiful!!!  I have to add that taking this picture was like pulling teeth - I told them they were worse than 2 yr olds!

Yes, this is what we do when we're camping.  2 books came out the day we left and we had to stop in Yuma to get them - highly anticipated!  Plus, the one that came out a couple weeks before - it was finally Jamie's turn to read it.

Guess who lost his first tooth???

We decided to run up to Lafe's parents' cabin in Strawberry to watch Saturday Conference with them.  That evening Talin came in to show me that his tooth was loose.  He wanted me to pull it, but it wasn't ready, so I told him to keep wiggling it and maybe it would come out that week.  10 minutes later he showed me again and it was TOTALLY ready!!!  I sent him to Dad and he pulled it out!  He was SO EXCITED!!!!!  He's been waiting to loose a tooth!!!

Kelcie's 9th Birthday!

Kelcie turned 9!!!  Her birthday always falls on the last week of school, if not the last day, so needless to say, it's BUSY!!!

They had a great year!  We loved having teachers that Jamie had before, and Kelcie even got a cousin in her class for half the year!

He's had a great time in Kindergarten and has done really well!  He loves the power of being able to read - he reads EVERYTHING!!!  He's so ready for 1st grade.  And.........no more half day for Mom!!!!  (Don't get me wrong, I love half day, but I'm ready for it not to be in my schedule)  Congratulations, Talin!!!
